Teacup Software releases improved BarcodeMaker for InDesign CS3

Free update adds support for new barcode types, spot colors

New York, February 4, 2008 - Teacup Software, Inc., a leading provider of plugins for Adobe InDesign, today released an update to BarcodeMaker for InDesign CS3.  The new version adds support for CMYK process and spot colors, and provides four new barcode types, including GS1 DataBar and USPS OneCode, the new barcode standard for the United States Postal Service.  With this release, BarcodeMaker now supports 27 different types of barcodes.

"These are important improvements that make BarcodeMaker appealing to a new range of users," says Teacup's president and founder, Lawrence Horwitz. "We're happy to be adding these new features as a free update for our CS3 users, and we think they'll find the new features very useful."

New text alignment features

Additionally, many barcodes now offer the ability to place human readable text above or below the barcode, and to justify it right, center or left.  Previously, users could do this by manually placing text frames where they needed them.  With the new release of BarcodeMaker, users can manage the appearance of their barcode with greater ease and efficiency.

Availability and Pricing

Existing CS3 users can upgrade at no cost by downloading and installing the software from Teacup's website at www.teacupsoftware.com.  Upgrades for customers of the CS and CS2 versions are available at 40% of the retail price.  BarcodeMaker retails for $169 USD.
