The plug-ins add a variety of features to InDesign, inlcuding automated copy-fitting, intuitive barcode capability, and advanced databased publishing. BarcodeMaker brings easy barcode creation to InDesign CS4

BarcodeMaker's versatile options allow users to make 27 different types of barcodes by manipulating a single user-friendly palette. BarcodeMaker integrates with DataLinker, allowing users to automatically generate barcodes as part of dynamic database content. The plug-in is fully scriptable and creates EPS files that can be easily exported and reused. And BarcodeMaker is now available in German and Spanish versions.

TypeFitter adds automated copy-fitting in InDesign CS4

TypeFitter Pro's sophisticated typefit rules automatically find and fix copy problems like widows, oversets and imbalanced columns. With a single click, TypeFitter Pro can automatically fix a variety of copy problems in a selection, a story or an entire document. TypeFitter Pro will also highlight and track any changes it makes so that they can be easily seen and modified. For those users that don't need the sophistication of the Pro version, TypeFitter Classic is still available, with the same convenient tools to quickly and easily tighten or loosen text on the fly.

DataLinker provides intuitive, user-friendly database publishing in InDesign CS4

DataLinker is database publishing solutions aimed at designers. Taking advantage of InDesign's page layout paradigms, setting up a template with DataLinker is as easy as formatting text in a text frame, using the DataLinker palette to insert sample data from the database. Then that template can be used to merge in data from a data source and quickly and easily update the InDesign document as data changes. The new release features a number of bug fixes and stability enhancements, as well as a new, lower price. The main DataLinker plug-in now retails for $299, and the ODBC add-on now retails for $199.

PatternMaker and PatternPack offer infinite pattern possibilities in inDesign CS4

The free PatternMaker plug-in and the add-on PatternPack offers an infinite number of pattern possibilities to designers. Each pattern offers a variety of parameters that can be tweaked and modified. Ideal for backgrounds, borders and textures, PatternMaker is a fun and creative addition to any designer's toolbox.
